changing wireless mac address on my new laptop

I have used change Mac address in the past on Windows XP machines and it has worked beautifully for me. However, recently got a new laptop running Windows 7 and I'm having problems getting it to work with it. Here are some details:
Lizardsystems Change MAC Address v2.3.0 (Build 77)
Laptop-Toshiba L755-S5214
OS-Windows 7 Home Premium
Wireless card-Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC
Driver version-1005.12.105.2011 built by WinDDK
So, with my new laptop, when I go to change my Mac address, I get the standard message stating that "Under Windows 7, the possible range of spoofed addresses for wireless adapters that can be set is limited." Clicking continue, I can fill in the new values for the MAC. Clicking continue again, I am again face with a message..."For wireless adapter under Windows 7, the possible values for the second nibble are limited to 2, 6, A, and E. Chose the corrected MAC address." I am then given 4 options.
Here's where my problem starts, after selecting any of the 4 options, my MAC address is successfully changed. However, I am unable to connect to any network wirelessly. Checking my wireless adapter status I see "Media State: Attempting to authenticate".
This does not change no matter how long I let it make its attempt. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

So, an update. I believe this is a problem isolated to my new laptop. I tested Change MAC Address out on my wife's HP laptop and had no problems with it. If anyone can help solve my Toshiba issue, I would greatly appreciate it. I will post an answer on this board if I find one before anyone else does.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.

I got the same problem over here, also with a Toshiba and on Windows 7 ultimate 64. I can connect with my default MAC address but not with the software's trial version MAC address. This latter is coherent with the limitations of win7 possible mac addresses. Can it be because this mac address is usedby someone else?
