LizardSystems Releases Terminal Services Manager 26.03 with Redesigned Interface and Real-Time RDP Monitoring

LizardSystems today announced the release of Terminal Services Manager 26.03, the most significant update in the product's history. The new version features a completely redesigned interface, real-time RDP connection quality monitoring, and dozens of new tools for Remote Desktop Services administrators.

Redesigned for modern Windows

Terminal Services Manager 26.03 introduces a modern interface with Dark Mode support, automatic theme switching, high-DPI rendering, and full Windows 11 compatibility. The charting engine has been rebuilt using Skia graphics, delivering interactive charts with zoom, pan, measurement, and export capabilities.

Real-time RDP connection quality monitoring

A new set of per-user columns displays TCP round-trip time, TCP bandwidth, output frame rate, and frame quality for every active RDS session. Server-level aggregation shows average and worst connection quality across all users, enabling administrators to identify network issues proactively.

Expanded server performance metrics

Version 26.03 adds 11 new server metrics including available memory, pagefile usage, disk free space, disk read/write speed, disk busy percentage, disk queue length, network bytes received and sent, and system uptime - all available as real-time charts.

Advanced filtering and administrative tools

A new multi-condition filter engine supports AND/OR logic, text matching, numeric comparisons, and range operators across all three tabs - Servers, Users, and Processes. The release also includes over 130 ready-to-use administrative commands in 12 categories, message presets with variable support, 4 new computer discovery sources (Hyper-V, RDS Connection Broker, SCCM/MECM, WSUS), bulk operations for computer list management, and an RDS Licensing overview.

Additional improvements

  • Configurable user idle threshold for Active/Idle session classification (1–1440 minutes)

  • Built-in application logging with configurable targets and rotation

  • Automatic update system with scheduled checks

  • 9 new languages, bringing the total to 16
